What is the NOW Program?
The Marshfield Mini 500 isn’t just about racing — it’s about rallying our community to fight a quiet crisis: childhood hunger.
Every school week, the Nutrition On Weekends (NOW) program provides nourishing, ready-to-eat food for local children who may not have access to meals over the weekend. While school lunch programs cover weekdays, many kids face uncertainty once Friday hits. NOW fills that gap, making sure no child in our area has to go to bed hungry just because school isn’t in session.
This effort began in 2013 as a small pilot after surveys revealed that 1 in 5 Marshfield students had recently gone to bed hungry due to a lack of food at home. Since then, the program has expanded to support over 600 children each week across multiple school districts, including virtual and homeschool students, early childhood centers, and local parochial schools.
And yet, the need hasn’t gone away. The most recent data still shows 16–28% of area youth reporting food insecurity. That’s why we ride. That’s why this event matters.

The Course
This track, complete with apexes, chicanes, and straightaways, is built with both fun and safety in mind. Strictly enforced "no-pedal" zones ensure speeds stay in control. And, with the race being monitored at every turn, bikers can ensure a clean, exciting race!
